COMPETITIONS
MUTTC hosts several individual and team competitions throughout the year.
Whether you are a beginner, intermediate or advanced player, these competitions are the perfect way to meet table tennis enthusiasts from other universities in Victoria for some friendly matches. Additionally, there is a range of prizes to be won! ​

VICTORIAN INTERVARSITY GAMES (VIGS)
Want to test your skills in a serious competition against other players?

Throughout the year, VIGs tournaments are hosted by several universities in Victoria, where you'll have the chance to compete against players from Monash, Swinburne, Deakin, RMIT, as well as have the chance to win equipment and prizes!

VIGS Singles Competition
The singles competition is run in one day, with 3 divisions: Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced - perfect for players of all levels to participate in!
​
Competition format begins with a group round robin stage, then proceeds to knockout stage (as well as consolation knockout).
​
Prizes include trophies for the winners of each division and lucky draw prizes for all!
VIGS Team Competition
The teams competition is run in one day, with 3 divisions: Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced.
​
Team up with a friend or a fellow club member!
​
Competition format begins with a group round robin stage, then proceeds to knockout stage.
​
Prizes include trophies for the winning teams and lucky draw prizes for all!

If you are a current undergraduate/postgraduate student at the University of Melbourne, there are several opportunities to represent our university in table tennis!
